The Water Butt Extension Kit 3/4" BSP with In-Line Valve + 20mm MDPE and Drill Bit is a practical upgrade for rainwater barrels, designed for tradespeople and serious gardeners who want easier access to stored water. It adds a 50mm extension to the outlet, simplifying hose connections and filling watering cans without bending. The kit includes robust components for a secure, watertight setup. A 3/4" BSP water butt extension connects to existing female threads (or can be fitted by drilling a new hole if no threads exist). The back nut and washers lock the fitting in place and distribute load to prevent damage, while the in-line valve provides controlled flow for precise watering. The MDPE straight fitting (20mm to 3/4" BSP) supports clean, reliable connections to standard garden hose or irrigation lines. A 27mm HSS drill bit hole saw cutter is supplied to facilitate hole creation where needed. Key benefits:
- 50mm extension to improve reach and accessibility from the ground, making it easier to fill cans or attach a hose.
- 3/4" BSP fittings with a secure back nut and washers for a reliable, watertight seal.
- In-line valve offers controllable flow, aiding conservation and reducing spillages.
- MDPE fitting supports robust, corrosion-resistant connections to 20mm irrigation pipe.
- Drill bit included to enable installation even on barrels without pre-existing threads. Who this is for: home gardeners upgrading rainwater systems, tradespeople fitting or expanding garden irrigation, and DIY enthusiasts seeking a straightforward, durable outlet upgrade for water butts. In the box you’ll find everything you need for a straightforward install: extension, nut, washers, in-line valve, MDPE fitting and a 27mm hole saw. FAQ
All of our C16 and C24 graded timber is regularised
Regularised timber is timber that has been processed to have a uniform shape and size. This means that the wood has been sawn and planed to remove any irregularities and ensure that each piece of wood has consistent dimensions. Regularised timber is often used in construction, particularly in the framing of buildings, as it is easier to work with and can be more efficiently installed than irregularly shaped timber.
We have one of the largest ranges of timber lengths, dimensions and grades available to buy online.
The variation you require will determine the exact lead time and delivery method.
Most orders arrive within 3-4 days, the maximum is 7 days. Please get in touch before you order if you need a specifc delivery date.
Delivery charges vary by postcode. To find out the delivery charge, add the item(s) you require to your basket and select CALCULATE SHIPPING at the bottom of the page.
Some orders are delivered on our own vehicles based in Leicestershire and Cheshire. We also use carriers including Yodel and Tuffnells. For some sizes and locations we use regional distributors.
If you'd prefer crane offloading rather than tail lift vehicle offloading for your brick order then this service is available for the majority of bricks that we sell. Charges are shown at checkout.
For deliveries of less than 6 packs then Taillift offloading is normally a more cost effective option
