The MDPE Valve 32mm - 1" BSPM is a compression fitting that converts a 32mm MDPE pipe to a 1" BSP male thread, designed for water supply, irrigation and light industrial piping. It’s built for tradespeople who want a reliable, straightforward transition without specialist tools. This PN10 fitting is rated to withstand up to 10 bar, making it suitable for domestic mains and mid-range irrigation systems. MDPE’s natural chemical resistance and durability help protect joints from common pesticides, fertilizers and mild acids found in typical installations. The valve and fitting work together to create a leak-free joint when installed correctly, contributing to long service life in exposed or weathered environments. How it works and why it matters: the compression connection design clamps the MDPE pipe securely and provides a robust seal against fluid leakage. The 1" BSP male thread offers standard compatibility for accessories and outlets, enabling easy integration into existing assemblies or new runs. The MDPE body resists corrosion and temperature variation, reducing maintenance needs compared with metal fittings in similar service. Installation and best practices: ensure pipe ends are cut square and clean before assembly. Insert the 32mm MDPE pipe fully into the compression end until seated, then tighten the nut to seal. Check for leaks after pressurising the system and re-tighten if required. Avoid overtightening, which can deform the fitting or pipe. If used in outdoor or frost-prone locations, protect from prolonged freeze exposure to preserve joint integrity. Ideal use cases: domestic water mains extensions and repairs, garden irrigation loops, cold-water feed lines in sheds or outbuildings, and light industrial wash-down or processing lines where MDPE piping is preferred. This fitting is particularly practical where a quick transition from MDPE to standard threaded fittings is needed, ensuring compatibility with existing BSP components. Compared with alternatives that require soldering or special tools, this MDPE compression valve offers faster, tool-light assembly with reliable seals. It’s well suited for tradespeople prioritising ease of installation, predictable performance and long-term problem-free operation in typical UK water and irrigation networks.

All of our C16 and C24 graded timber is regularised
Regularised timber is timber that has been processed to have a uniform shape and size. This means that the wood has been sawn and planed to remove any irregularities and ensure that each piece of wood has consistent dimensions. Regularised timber is often used in construction, particularly in the framing of buildings, as it is easier to work with and can be more efficiently installed than irregularly shaped timber.
We have one of the largest ranges of timber lengths, dimensions and grades available to buy online.
The variation you require will determine the exact lead time and delivery method.
Most orders arrive within 3-4 days, the maximum is 7 days. Please get in touch before you order if you need a specifc delivery date.
Delivery charges vary by postcode. To find out the delivery charge, add the item(s) you require to your basket and select CALCULATE SHIPPING at the bottom of the page.
Some orders are delivered on our own vehicles based in Leicestershire and Cheshire. We also use carriers including Yodel and Tuffnells. For some sizes and locations we use regional distributors.
If you'd prefer crane offloading rather than tail lift vehicle offloading for your brick order then this service is available for the majority of bricks that we sell. Charges are shown at checkout.
For deliveries of less than 6 packs then Taillift offloading is normally a more cost effective option
