TLX Silver is a thin, flexible, multi-purpose insulation. The original BBA certified multi-foil by Web Dynamics which saves time and guarantees 0.18. It stops air leakage by providing an air-tight vapour barrier and restricting air movement in its multi-foil layers.
TLX silver can be used in loft conversions, new build roofs and walls
TLX Silver U = 0.18 solutions are covered by LABC Registered Details meaning TLX Silver is accepted by Building Control bodies. It is light weight and flexible, making it quick and easy to install. TLX Silver can also be used in dwarf walls, dormer cheeks and flat roofs.
TLX Silver works in combination with glass wool to reduce the total thickness of insulation needed and with rigid insulation to cut installation time.
New build roofs
TLX Silver is fitted below rafters of any depth to improve thermal performance. It is a vapour barrier and stops water vapour from entering the roof structure, preventing condensation. With a BBA certificate it is accepted by NHBC. TLX Silver is light weight, flexible and easy to fit, requiring no protective clothing.
TLX Silver is BBA certified to internally insulate new timber frame or existing masonry walls. It wraps around junctions and details to give low air leakage and to reduce thermal bridging at the floor and around windows and doors. In new walls it reduces the depth of stud needed, and prevents water vapour from entering the wall structure.
Can be used for 100mm and 150mm rafter installations in new build, barn conversion and refurbishment projects including loft extensions (new build in a traditional roof) either over or under rafters.
