Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any substances that may affect adhesion. Remove any loose or flaking material, and feather the edges of sound paint with abrasive paper. Eliminate all rust by scraping, chipping, or wire brushing. Clean the surface with hot water and a liquid detergent solution to remove all oil, grease, and other contaminants, frequently changing the water. Spot prime bare metal with an appropriate rust-inhibiting primer and undercoat.

Application

We recommend performing a test patch on the surface to ensure satisfaction with the final results. Stir well, and intermix packs in a larger container for colour consistency. Apply with a brush or roller, avoiding overspreading. For maximum durability, apply two coats, allowing 16 hours between coats. More coats may be required if covering a strong colour. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or if the air/surface temperature is expected to fall below 8°C or if the relative humidity exceeds 80% during application or drying.
