Preparation

• Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt and grease, as these can affect adhesion.
  
• For new or stripped woodwork, sand the surface smooth using glass paper.
  
• For bare wood, treat any knots or resinous areas with a knotting solution or stain blocker.
  
• Previously painted surfaces should be sanded to create a suitable surface for the primer and undercoat to adhere to.
  
• Fill any voids or gaps with an appropriate filler, such as Polycell Wood Filler, for general repairs.
  

Application

• Do not apply if rain is expected or if temperatures are likely to drop below 8°C during application or drying. We recommend conducting a test patch to ensure satisfaction with the final appearance.
  
• Thoroughly stir the product and apply generously and evenly using a synthetic brush or high-quality medium pile roller.
  
• Allow 4-6 hours drying time between coats; we advise applying two coats for optimal results.
  
• For the best finish, use Sandtex Rapid Dry Plus Paint in Satin or Gloss as a top coat.
